Code of Conduct
Short rules, so the game is good for everyone — including children and teenagers, who play too. They are part of the Terms of Use.
1. Display name
Your name is shown to friends and rivals. It may not:
- insult, threaten or discriminate (by race, colour, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other reason);
- contain sexual content, graphic violence, or promote drugs or crime;
- impersonate another person, another player or someone from the game's team;
- contain personal data (yours or someone else's), such as a phone number, address or social media profile;
- advertise or share links.
Tip: do not use your real name.
2. Fair play
- Do not use programs, modifications or tricks to gain an advantage, to play in your place in PvP or to deceive the server.
- Found a bug? Do not exploit it: tell us.
- Do not attack, overload or probe the server.
- Do not buy, sell or lend accounts.
3. Respect in PvP
- Play the match to the end. Abandoning on purpose spoils the other player's game and earns you a waiting time in the queue.
- Do not fix results or throw matches.
- Pauses are for real emergencies. Do not ask for a pause just to disrupt your rival.
- Emotes are for fun and for saying hello. Do not use them to taunt non-stop.
- Do not create new accounts to escape a penalty or to prey on beginners.
4. What happens to those who break the rules
Depending on how serious and how repeated it is:
- the name is replaced with a neutral one;
- the account loses the online modes for a while;
- progress or rewards obtained by cheating are undone;
- the account is closed.
Abandoning PvP matches triggers an automatic waiting time. Everything else is decided by a person, and you can ask for a review through the contact address.
5. How to report
Write to contato@riftguardians.tech or use Discord, with the player's friend code or name, what happened and, if you can, a screenshot. Do not expose the person in public.
If someone is in danger or a crime is involved, contact the authorities. In Brazil, Disque 100 (dial 100) takes reports of violations of the rights of children and teenagers.
